About Art Instructor Judith Reidy and her classes......

  I love teaching and help my students achieve their goals and grow in confidence.  I look forward to my teaching time with my students in spite of my busy schedule as an artist  studio and Plein air painting as well as working with fused glass.  Being with my students is always a refreshing and exciting time for me.  

It seems like an eternity since I  graduated from the UWM School of Fine Arts, with a major in painting and drawing, BFA.  Over the years I have studied with such artists as Lawrence Rathsack, Adolph Rosenblatt, Tom Uttech, Joan Franzen, Laura Priebe, Helena Ehlke, Joe Stanke, Paulette Jensen, Daryll Jenson, and Ed Knippers, Stephan Samerjan, Lorin Willey, and Amy Sprague Champeau.

I have always believed in a guiding my students toward an understanding of the technical issues related to their materials as well as foundation in sound design.  All that, however, is secondary to the journey of self discovery and  expression in the microcosm of the creative process.

The creative process is fun

 and sometimes

 a little scary........... adventure.

  Facing the blank canvas can be daunting. What do you see?  Are you open to surprises?  For comfort must you follow a prescribed  procedure  as  one would to resolve a math problem?  Do you desire to develop your sixth sense or would you rather resolve issues by a prescription only?  

If you want to stay entirely safe, our classes are not the place for you!  If you want to stretch yourself in a secure nurturing environment, you will love exploring in our classes.

 It's your choice....Dare yourself to be adventuresome!
